If you've graduated from Booth University College or CFOT (Canada and Bermuda Territory), you can apply for free access to parts of the collection.

AltaSerials For Alums

All alums get access to one of our online journal collections. This online full-text collection includes over 250 major religion and theology journals. It's used by scholars, students, and religious leaders.

Access is limited to Booth UC and CFOT (Canada and Bermuda Territory) alums. The resource is for alum personal use only. Do not share it with others.

For access, please complete the online registration form. We'll respond by email with a user ID and password. The password changes once per year. If you are having trouble logging in, contact us.

You can access other online journals and databases in the library. Some online databases may be available through your local public library.

Open Access Resources

You are also welcome to make use of the library catalogue to find open access resources.

  1. Enter your search on the main library homepage – www.boothuc.ca/library
  2. When you see a list of results on the screen, check off the filter Content Type > Open Access on the left side of the screen.

Alum outside of Winnipeg

For alum who are not in Winnipeg, items in our print collection can be borrowed through your local public library (when you’re not taking classes). Bring the title(s) you want to borrow to your local library and they will arrange to borrow from us or another library on your behalf. Unfortunately, we cannot send it to you directly, but the important part is that we can get it to you, there's just an extra step.
