Gloria J. Woodland
Gloria holds a Master of Arts in Christian Studies with a specialization in chaplaincy and pastoral counselling from Trinity Western Seminary (ACTS at TWU). She completed her Doctor of Ministry with a specialization in pastoral counselling with Providence Theological Seminary.
Gloria has a passion for the ministry of spiritual care. She believes that the ministry of Christian chaplains is to reveal that God is present in the varied circumstances of life, yet even more to share that God is not just present but that he is active. Gloria desires that her interactive classes be a place of discovery, so that students will be effective in coming alongside others and sharing the compassion of Christ, in the actual circumstances of life.
Gloria has been in ministry for many years and has served with The Salvation Army, as well as with both private and public sector institutions in the provision of spiritual care. Currently, serving as Assistant Professor of Chaplaincy Studies and Spiritual Care for the MB Seminary and Chaplaincy Program Director for ACTS Seminaries at TWU, Gloria finds her ministry to be the equipping of others for front-line service. Gloria and her husband, David, live in Langley, BC.
