Booth University College provides study skills tutorials to help our students improve their academic skills in reading, note taking, writing research papers, making oral presentations, developing problem-solving skills, preparing for and taking different types of exams, improving memory and concentration, and managing time.
While all first-year students would benefit from all of these tutorials, you are specifically encouraged to view the first two presentations below on reading skills and time management, especially if this is your first year at a post-secondary institution. The academic flow and expectations are very different than that of high school. We want to make sure you start off with the resources you need to make your schooling with us a successful one!
