May 31, 2018
We are pleased to announce the appointment of student members to Senate and the Board of Trustees for the 2018/19 academic year. Kailey Gillis has been appointed to Senate for a one year term, beginning in August/September 2018. Kailey is a third-year student in the Religion Program and is already active in the Booth UC community as a member of the residence advisory group, a student ambassador in the Admissions Office, and a member of this year’s Booth Bound planning committee. Kaitlin vanDeursen has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for a one year term beginning in September 2018. Kaitlin is a third-year student in the Social Work Program. For the past two years, she was a key member of the Student Life Committee, most recently as Chair of the SLC for 2017/18. These appointments, in combination with the new Student Council, represent a continued progression in our governance processes and are part of our Strategic Plan, Vision 2020: The Road to Booth University.
